Have You Sanitized Your Devices Lately?

It is important for us to maintain good physical #hygiene, but let’s not forget that we touch our devices (especially our mobile phones) on a daily basis. We also place our devices on many #surfaces over a period of 24 hours.
Ensure that your devices like home and office #telephones, #keyboards, #laptops, #mobile phones, #tablets etc are wiped with #disinfectant regularly.

As we see a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, we should be more conscious of maintaining good device hygiene.
The FCC has provided some guidelines on how to clean your devices based on the general recommendations by most manufacturers:
Unplug the device before cleaning.
Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with soap and water.
Don’t spray cleaners directly onto the device.
Avoid aerosol sprays and cleaning solutions that contain bleach or abrasives.
Keep liquids and moisture away from any openings on the device.
On sanitisation of your devices, if there are no specific instructions provided by the manufacturer, CDC suggests to use alcohol based wipes or sprays containing at least 70% alcohol for disinfecting surfaces like touchscreens.
