doctorDB-Grassroots Moringa Project Nutrition Day

The doctorDB-Grassroots Moringa Project Nutrition Day on the 28th of September, 2018 was undoubtedly a success – the smiles on the children of Bestari Jaya proves it!

The Grassroots Moringa Project is a social initiative to empower the Batang Berjuntai community, a rural area in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. The empowerment is done through an agricultural approach of the Moringa plantation, harvestation and commercial production.

One of the key issues faced by this marginalised community is malnourishment. The aim of the event was to bring some health and nutrition awareness to the children and parents alike, through activities, games, talks and general interaction.

We’d like to thank Kumaran Nagapa, the Grassroots Moringa Project team, the children, parents and volunteers for making this event a success.
